Pride 2022: Creating Equal Access to Addiction Medicine

Happy Pride Month! This month and every month, Master Center recognizes and celebrates the valuable contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals across the communities we serve. But there’s still work to be done. For all of the progress we’ve made as a Nation, many LGBTQ+ individuals still face discrimination and lack protections for fundamental rights and dignity in treatment centers, hospitals, public accommodations, and other spaces.

Members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community often have rates of substance abuse higher than those of the general population. Daily battles with discrimination and stigma can cause high levels of stress that contribute to drug and alcohol use. At the Master Center, we are committed to standing in solidarity against discrimination and injustice. We call on our peers in the addiction treatment community to not only celebrate Pride Month, but to work together to offer equal access to addiction medicine programs that help everyone discover the joy and freedom of recovery.

When you’re ready to take the first step to recovery, we’re ready to serve everyone! Our team is firmly committed to inclusivity and diversity. At Master Center, we work every day to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all – regardless of age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.

For your convenience, we have multiple locations for our treatment centers. If you or a loved one needs us, you will find us in these locations:
