Addiction is a disease. Lifelong recovery is possible.
You deserve effective, affordable, accessible treatment options.
Master Center programs are backed by science, built around your needs, and delivered by a team who understands your illness. You’ll receive a personalized plan based on proven methods to treat addiction — giving you the best chance at long-term recovery.
Addiction is a tough disease, but with medical intervention, ongoing treatment, and support, you can recover. We know, because we’ve been there.
Master Center was founded by two physicians with deep expertise in addiction treatment, Dr. Sherman Master and Dr. James Thompson.
Dr. Thompson, Master Center’s Chief Medical Officer, is a person in long-term recovery. In fact, more than a few of Master Center staff are in recovery. Even more have been touched by addiction.
We know recovery is within your reach and we are ready to help you get there.

Medication Assisted Treatment Works
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) uses prescription medication under the supervision of a medical professional to treat addiction. It is the only treatment option shown to be effective for lowering the rate of relapse and overdose for OUD patients. Get effective treatment and long-term support for sustained recovery with medications that reduce symptoms and cravings for heroin, opioids, and alcohol.
46 Million Americans
More than 46 million Americans over the age of 12 suffer from addiction (also known as Substance Use Disorder or SUD).
1 Out of 10
Only 1 out of every 10 individuals with Substance Use Disorder will get treatment. Without continuing supportive treatment, 90% will relapse within 12 months after detox.
61% Stick with MCAM
61% of patients at Master Center choose to stay in treatment with us for 12 months or more — vastly improving their chances of sustained recovery.
We Accept Insurance
Call us to verify your insurance and get an estimate of what you can expect to pay.
Insurance for Addiction Treatment
If you have health insurance, it’s likely that your treatment for addiction is partly or fully covered. We accept most commercial and employer-based insurance, as well as Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare.
Self-Pay for Addiction Treatment
If you do not have insurance or prefer to pay out of pocket, we can work with you on a self-pay option. A discounted rate and/or a payment plan may also be available to help you afford treatment.
These are some of the plans we work with.

I was able to succeed
“I have been a patient since they opened from the very beginning. I have watched how quickly it’s grown. Master Center is hands down the best treatment center they make you feel like apart of the family no matter what your story is. I literally had been from treatment center to treatment center but it wasn’t until I started here that I was able to succeed in the treatment process. I am forever grateful for everything they have done for me.” – Shannon C.

Helped save my life
“I will say that this place helped save my life!!! I had to do the work, but they were always there to support me and to help me…I’ve had good experiences with both the coaches and the doctors…I have a very rare medical condition that causes a considerable amount of pain on a daily basis…MCAM has been able to help me stay clean while still being able to treat my massive amount of pain…They’ve always been supportive…I know I would refer anyone I knew who was looking for help.” – Garrett V.
I am confident
“They are helping me help myself by getting the services I know I need, but don’t know how to navigate it myself. They are sympathetic and empathetic and they keep it real. I’m scared on my next steps, but I am confident on moving forward.” Diana N.
